The living spaces were carefully redefined to move away from a purely open-plan arrangement. Steel-framed windows and doors introduce definition while maintaining a visual connection between rooms, allowing the interiors to feel both intimate and connected. Their clean, architectural lines reference the home’s original character, anchoring the contemporary updates firmly within the villa’s period origins.

The kitchen was reimagined as a highly considered centre of the home, balancing function with a quiet reference to the villa’s industrial heritage. A cantilevered, steel-framed stone island introduces strength and precision, while profiled cabinetry and handmade Japanese tiles add texture and craft. A concealed pantry makes intelligent use of storage beneath the stair, allowing the kitchen to feel composed and uncluttered while supporting the practical rhythms of family life.
